Homecoming Game Takes
a Fall for the Worse
Coach
Anderson felt good about the Homecoming game. She had planned for a win.
Unfortunately, that win didn’t come.
The
games started with tension already hanging in the air. Coach Anderson stood
proudly at the bench with assistant Coach Annie Morigeau as her girls did their
starting lineup.
The
first game went well with the Bulldogs pulling out a win, 28-26. The next three
games took a turn for the worse. Bigfork took the win Homecoming night in four
games.
All the
girls were upset at the loss, but Lindsay Johnson, #1, took the fall the
hardest. One of the main things that hurt the girls the worst was that they couldn’t
hit. Coach Anderson was agitated, sitting on the bench yelling at the girls on
the court to hit the ball.
Another thing that killed the girls
was that they weren’t coming together very well. They were all upset that they
were down, and once they got down in points, they got down on themselves and
started playing scared. They were too scared to hit the ball in fear of hitting
it into the net or out of bounds on the other side. They also needed a change
in their defense. The Bigfork middle kept hitting the two back corners where
nobody was, given the defense the Lady Bulldogs were using, to dig the ball up
to get the girls going.
Overall,
Homecoming was a sad time for the Lady Bulldogs. Hopefully, the Lady Bulldogs
can pull out a win in their next game in Charlo on Thursday, October 3rd,
at 7:00 pm.
