Our Dress Code by Dominik Stallings

OUR DRESS CODE

Our Dress Code is seen as a very important part of school society. It is supposed to help us not to be exposed to anything that may be unsafe or too exposing to us. The Dress Code may help us not to be rejected by other students. Women may also be protected as they might not be harassed by male students. If somebody is under the influence of drugs they may try to hide it by wearing sunglasses. Forbidding sun glasses can possibly reveal drugged students, we can wear jewelry in school but it must be appropriate and not harmful in any way. Harmful jewelry such as brass knuckle belts,  may be used as a weapon and could seriously hurt a student.
School personnel are required to send a student home if not fulfilling the dress code. Every student is required to follow these guidelines. Personally, I think this dress code is not very helpful. Most parts of it, like the length of our clothing, shouldn’t be questioned by anyone, whoever it be; school authorities or students. Many students have their own idea of how they want to dress for school. It may be important to forbid anything harmful against us, but everyone has their own opinion of style, and it should be respected.
