Our Exchanges from Germany by Dominik Stallings

OUR EXCHANGES FROM GERMANY

Julia Gsell, 17, is one of this years exchange students. She originates from Germany, to be precise from her hometown, Schopfheim, in the state of Bad Württemberg. Schopfheim lies almost on the border with Switzerland so she can go there for vacation quite a lot. She has a father named Richard, 52 who is living in Mexico at the moment. Before she came to the U.S she lived with her mother Sabine, 46, and her brother Simon, 16. She told me that she wanted to come to the U.S since 5th Grade Julia wanted to live with relatives but sadly it didn’t work out, so she decided to come to the U.S with a school organization.
Like every other teenager Julia likes going on Facebook, talking to her friends from Germany, and keeping up with everything she also likes hanging out with friends, going shopping in Missoula, going for a nice, long jog. When she finishes her year here in high school, she wants to go and finish “Abitur” which allows her to start studying Hotel-management. Julia likes it here in Montana and hopes it gets even better.
